Nietzsche Meets God on the OpenAI Playground

Nietzsche meets God.

Nietzsche: Aren’t you dead?
God: I died and became God.
Nietzsche: Do you have any advice for me?
God: Keep the faith.
Nietzsche: What faith?
God: My faith.
Nietzsche: What does that mean?
God: Have faith.
Nietzsche: In what?
God: In me.
Nietzsche: You wish.

A very slick conversation imagined between Nietzsche and God on the GPT-3 Playground of OpenAI.

More curious is that followed with OpenAI’s virtual reincarnation of a collective Jesus. After much opposition at the beginning, they converge into full agreement afterward.

Jesus meets Nietzsche!

Jesus: “Sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.”
Nietzsche: “Sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have no possessions.”
Jesus: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”
Nietzsche: “Blessed are the strong, for they shall make the earth their slave.”
Jesus: “If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also.”
Nietzsche: “Slap your enemies on both cheeks, and delight in their confusion.”
Jesus: “Woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation.”
Nietzsche: “Woe to you who are poor, for you shall be consoled.”
Jesus: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”
Nietzsche: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for power, for they shall be filled.”
Jesus: “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Nietzsche: “Come to me, all of you who are weary of your chains.
Jesus: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?”
Nietzsche: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?”
Jesus: “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?”
Nietzsche: “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and finds that he is a fool?”
Jesus: “I am the bread of life.”
Nietzsche: “I am the bread of death.”
Jesus: “I am the light of the world.”
Nietzsche: “I am the light of the world.”
Jesus: “I am the resurrection and the life.”
Nietzsche: “I am the resurrection and the life.”
Jesus: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Nietzsche: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Jesus: “I am the true vine.”
Nietzsche: “I am the true vine.”

Soon, another unexpected dialogue between two AI-resurrected figures.

Thanks to the team of OpenAI for allowing me to test and explore their beta version.
