A Multi-Billion Dollar Industry Soon to be Monopolised by OpenAI

Exactly one year ago, I was producing a short film using AI for the Cannes Film Festival. However, the quality, the time spent and the lack of control on the outcome turned the short film into a preview of an ambitious project seeking funding and collaboration.

For many years now I have been pitching about the future of Cinema and how it will be influenced greatly by AI but nobody listened.

I tried to pitch training on millions of videos to major local and international GPU dealers and cloud services, but no serious deal was cut.

Today, the emergence of SORA follows several text-to-video attempts such as RunawayML, StableDiffusion and others in the past year.

What is noteworthy is that the film-production industry to which I have contributed as a filmmaker, is a huge multi-billion dollar industry and is at stake of being monopolised by text-to-video providers.

Too bad for all those who took my predictions lightly or thought that a hundred thousand investment was too expensive.

For those who are still prospecting and wanting to invest or collaborate. Meet me at the Cannes Film Festival or Marche du Film this year for a preview of the latest on text-to-video and what is soon to become AI-generated Film-on-Demand.
